Here at Bluff Mt. Retreat we offer our guests a bit of down home hospitality added with lots of privacy and time to relax.  Check in is easy.  Trust is a big part of your vacation here at Bluff Mt. Retreat.  Throw your worries to the wind.  Write that novel you have always wanted to, or paint the masterpiece you have dreamed of.  Anything is possible in the laid back atmosphere of our retreat.  Build a campfire, sit back and look up at the millions of stars and dream...

  • Have fun with your family or friends- there's lots to do

    There are large lawns to play on, hundreds of acres of forest to hike in and miles of VAST trails to ride your snowmobiles on.  Bike and motorcycle groups are more than welcome.  There is ample parking for trailers.  Island Pond has  a public swimming beach and boat launches.  Although Bluff is very private, it is within walking distance to town.  Even the locals hardly know where this place is, yet it is very easy to find.

  • McGee is a native Island Ponder.  He knows where to go to find moose, deer, fish, ski trails, kayak routes and much more.  He's fun to have around, he will tell you many tales of how Island Pond used to be.  He is an expert at snow shoe and cross country skiing and can take you back into the forest where, as he puts it "you have to bring your own daylight in a can"

  • Your hostess is Lisa Foster, shown here with a lap full of kittens that were born at Bluff Mountain Retreat.  The kittens have grown up now, but their mother remains a faithful mouser at the Retreat.  Her name is Sigadoo and she minds her own business.  She does not come in the house.  You may bring your own pet, but please let us know ahead of time.
